Do you ever skim over Jesus’ genealogy in Matthew? It can seem pointless. But this long list of names shows that God didn’t use perfect people to bring Jesus into the world. He used people like you and me. Which is why we too can find our name in His family tree. We’re not required to be perfect, only to believe that Jesus is!
